The QIAamp PowerFecal DNA Kit removes tough inhibitors from stool, gut and biosolid samples and provides clean, ready-to-use DNA for any downstream application. With the included Inhibitor Removal Technology, inhibitors from digested food, heme from lysed red blood cells in stool and other PCR inhibitors are eliminated leaving only high-quality DNA ready for downstream applications such as qPCR, Sanger sequencing and next-generation sequencing.
The QIAamp PowerFecal DNA Kit can be used interchangeably with the DNeasy PowerSoil Kit. Both kits can be used to isolate DNA from soil, environmental, stool, gut and biosolid samples.

Isolate RNA from all microbes present in environmental water samples with the RNeasy PowerWater Kit. The kit is designed to isolate RNA from bacteria (Gram +/-), algae and fungi. Samples are processed from start to finish, including the RNase step, in 40 minutes. The kit combines mechanical lysis and Inhibitor Removal Technology to yield high-quality, ready-to-use RNA, even with samples containing high amounts of salts, metal, humic acids and other organic materials. Resulting RNA can then be used in RT-PCR, qPCR, RNA-seq and other downstream applications.

This kit, designed for processing large sample quantities, will give researchers DNA samples free from PCR inhibiting compounds generally associated with soil DNA. Humic substances and the color from compost, manure and sediment are eliminated through Inhibitor Removal Technology. Resulting DNA is ready to use in a variety of downstream applications such as qPCR, Sanger sequencing and next-generation sequencing.
